Sometimes even a real bear needs the comfort of a plush toy. This orphaned Koala – a victim of the bushfires raging in Australia -- receives care at a veterinary facility. However, many animals have had to be euthanized due to severe injuries and up to one billion wild animals – including 30% of the iconic Koalas – may have been lost to the fires. Courageous efforts continue to save those remaining.
